Last night he slept 7 hours straight which is awesome. I woke up more times than he did which is unfortunate but at least he got some good sleep. The last couple morning he's decided he only wants to sleep 1-1.5 hours at a time after his long stretch which means he's waking up about an hour before I need to start getting ready for work. I'm hoping that won't last too much longer.
We've survived 2 weeks of me being at work and it's been going okay. I've managed to not cry when leaving so that's a good thing. It kind of depends on what kind of mood Owen is in when I leave that makes it hard or easy to leave. I have a harder time if he's crying because I just want to comfort him. I think Owen and Daddy are adjusting to their time together. Pat told me tonight that he understands now why it was so hard for me to go back to work. He's missing him more now that they're spending more time together. I'm hoping that with me being back at work we'll be able to get more of a routine for the day and get Owen to nap a little better. He's goes down so well at night and I think it's because we have a set routine so I need to get his days figured out.
We've been going for walks when I get home from work since the weather has been so nice. It's good for both of us to get out of the house and I need the exercise!
Owen rolled over yesterday which was pretty exciting. He still hates tummy time on the floor so I tried having him lay on my stomach and then slid him onto the bed. He made it a couple of minutes and then rolled over! I think it was pretty accidental but it was still a rollover.
He's doing better with entertaining himself although he'd much rather have someone making faces at him or talking to him. I'll lay him in his bassinet and he'll get his little "massage" or lay him on his play gym and he'll be pretty happy for a little while.
He likes to look at himself in mirrors. He's starting to pull his legs up at the waist. The last couple of days he's made a few noises that were more from his mouth than his throat. Pat said he laughed again this morning. I was sad I missed it. He's learned how to smack his lips which is pretty funny. He's sucking on his hands more and will occasionally get a finger in but doesn't really have an interest in keeping it in.
